Fun Fact:

Haloclines are common in water-filled limestone caves near the ocean. Less dense fresh water from the land forms a layer over salt water from the ocean and creates hazy visibility as you pass through the layers. For underwater divers, this can cause the optical illusion of air space in caverns.

We tried something a little different and put a West Coast IPA on our nitro tap. The bitterness from the Zeus, Cascade, and Amarillo hops are mellowed out by pouring the beer on nitro and the reduced carbonation makes the beer crushable in the summer and leaves you with a silky, smooth mouthfeel.

Fun Fact:

Nitrox diving refers to using enriched air which contains higher proportions of oxygen than atmospheric air (typically 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 1% other gases). The enriched air can reduce nitrogen uptake in the body's tissues, thereby extending underwater dive time by reducing the decompression requirement, or reducing the risk of decompression sickness (aka the bends).

Ocean Gem

Ocean Gem

Juicy IPA

We took the term Juicy IPA pretty literal with this beer by using Idaho Gem hops. We used flaked barley and oats to give the beer the right mouthfeel and added 55lb of wheat malt to make it hazy. Fermented out with London Fog yeast, it all comes together to make a delicious gem of a beer.
